William Belzberg, Chairman

Mr. Belzberg began his business career in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He was involved in a wide range of activities in that city including banking, manufacturing, real estate development and the oil and gas business.

In 1976 Mr. Belzberg and his family moved to Beverly Hills, California to assume the position of Chairman and CEO of Westminster Capital, Inc, which was a publicly traded company on the Pacific and American Stock Exchanges that subsequently has become a privately owned corporation. Mr. Belzberg is currently the President, Chairman and CEO as well as a principal owner of Westminster Capital, Inc. Mr. Belzberg was Chairman and President of First City Industries, a real estate development company which developed apartment buildings, office buildings, industrial buildings and subdivisions for residential developments.

Mr. Belzberg's active involvement in the community is long-standing. He has served as Chairman-North America, State of Israel Bonds, is a member of the Board of Governors of Cedars Sinai Medical Center, and is a past board member of the Weizmann Institute of Science. Mr. Belzberg was also on the Board of the Claremont Colleges. Together with his brothers, he founded the Yeshiva University of Los Angeles, The Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation. Mr. Belzberg is a current Trustee of the Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies as well as a member of its Executive Committee.

Robert Abbasi, President & CEO

Robert Abbasi is the founder and President of RTI Properties, Inc. which was established in 1986 in Los Angeles to purchase small apartment complexes. Since that time, Mr. Abbasi has grown the real estate business into a nationally recognized real estate company. Today, RTI is diversified into several divisions including commercial property management which owns and manages nearly 4,000 multi-family units; a commercial brokerage; private money lending division; a commercial development company; as well as owning and operating a number of retail, multi-residential, and commercial properties throughout the country.

Mr. Abbasi graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Economics and was chosen into the National Honors Society, Phi Beta Kappa, as well as graduated Magna Cum Laude. He also obtained his MBA from USC with honors. Mr. Abbasi was a former bank board director at a Los Angeles bank and has much banking experience as well both as a former director as well as borrower for his own projects.

Brian Shniderson is an entrepreneurial business leader with broad experiences in restructuring and building companies. Over his 25 years of corporate life, Brian has created and sold several businesses in the service, technology, manufacturing and distribution industries. Twice Brian has landed his companies on the INC. 500’s Fastest Growing Companies List - Both awards were achieved before the age of 30.

Brian has been involved in real estate as an investor, developer, lender and workout consultant for the past 20 years.

Brian is a frequent speaker and panelist on the state of distressed real estate and is often quoted in national real estate publications.

Brian earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of California Los Angeles and is a graduate of Harvard Business School, Executive Education in Corporate Reconstruction, Private Equity and Venture Capital.

Brian is the Managing Director of B&A Capital Partners.  Brian and his partners formed B&A as a private money bridge lender in early 2008 when it was evident there was going to be a lack of liquidity for commercial real estate transactions.  B&A is a direct Lender on commercial real estate transactions ranging in size from $2MM - $30MM, nationwide and in Canada for short term, private money, bridge loans.   

Greg Belzberg, Managing Director

Greg Belzberg is a partner in a real estate development and investment company located in Los Angeles, handling acquisitions and marketing. Mr. Belzberg is currently a director and member of the audit committee of Patch Energy International. He founded and was a director of A.C. Global Capital, a Canadian Public Company that later merged to form Arsenal Energy Inc. He also founded, and acted as President and later sold two successful private businesses: Bar None Enterprises in the hospitality industry and BNW Travel Management in the travel and tourism sector. Mr. Belzberg has extensive investment and finance experience from handling personal and family business matters.

Greg is a graduate from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Business Administration where he won The Big East Tennis Championships playing #1 singles and doubles for Georgetown University Tennis. Greg is board member of The 12 Angels non-profit organization.
